Fallen Republicans, When Will It End?

Republican Sen. of Tennessee, Paul Stanley, resigned this week amidst an adulterous scandal involving his 22-year-old intern and some alleged sex photos. This is the heals of conservative rising star, South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford's admission to an "international affair" with an Argentinian hottie. Oh, and who can forget the Congressman Mark Foley's homoerotic texts to his teenaged congressional pageboys just a few years ago.

Oh, how the Republicans must miss the Clinton inquisition days (aka impeachment hearings), when come stained dress testimonies trumped dealing with the national economy. Look, people, people, all people have the potential for sexual indiscretions. So who gives a fuck? Oh, yeah, their families and such. Novel, but it's a private matter, not a freakin' public one.

So, my question is, how many more Republican politicians need to fall before they abandon the politically motivated, puritan notion to crucify every adulterer/gay boy? They must have statisticians noticing the tipping of the scale, that is, Republicans are falling in greater numbers than Democrats due to sex scandals. Thoughts?

Difference is that Republicans leave office cause they are voted out or told to by their party. Democrats keep them in office and give them a promotion.
