The Senate Race - Help with the Fight

The fight for political/economic change is not just at the presidential level. Democrats have a majority in Congress but are tied with Republicans in the Senate with 49 each (and 2 Independents). Now more than ever, Democrats have the opportunity to gain more seats in Senate. Updates show this number could be as high as 60/100 but races are very close.

One crucial race is in Minnesota with Democrat Al Franken (Emmy Award–winning comedian, writer, and progressive political commentator) in a statistical dead heat with Republican Senator Norm Coleman. Having a clear majority in Senate is essential to help a Democrat President get his agenda approved and laws passed.

I just gave $25 to the Franken campaign and urge you to do the same. You are welcome, Al. Help get rid of those who put us in this mess and bring those who can bring change into positions of power. Franken is a long-time writer for SNL, had the #1 NYT bestseller, “Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot and Other Observations,” and also poignant titles such as, “Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right.”
